North Bend Senior Recreation & Activity Center's mission is to provide a safe and inviting environment for seniors to gather together and participate in activities that enhance their physical and mental well being, as well as give them the opportunity to socialize with other seniors.
We do not require a membership to join us. Check out our activities calendar to see the dates and meeting times of our classes, clubs, and social groups. You are free to drop in and observe or participate at any time when classes or events are happening.
We offer a wide variety of programs and activities, including free senior lunches on Thursdays and on special occasions, regular weekly Bingo, occasionally Dime Bingo, Zumba (a VERY popular aerobics class), Line Dancing, Tai Chi, Qigong, Photography Club, Chess Club, Bunco, Pinochle, Art Classes, and more. We also have quarterly craft fairs.
We are a registered non-profit organization. For part of 2025 and much of 2026, we have relied solely on donations. In July 2026 we re-started our highly regarded regular Bingo games, which provide a source of revenue to cover our operating expenses. We are staffed by volunteers only. The board of directors meets regularly to evaluate financial status and attendance levels, plan and schedule activities and events, and attend to operational issues and concerns.
We have a minimum age requirement to play bingo at the North Bend Senior Center. Participants playing bingo must be at least 18 years of age.
Special abilities and skills are not required. No matter what amount of time you have to spare, we have a variety of activities and projects going on all the time that make it possible for anyone to find a good fit, join in, be helpful, and contribute in ways that match their abilities, skills, and interests.
Currently, we are offering our regular free senior lunches on Thursdays, and we offer breakfasts and lunches on special occasions and at events throughout the year. We post the lunch dates on the activities schedule, which can be found on the Calendar page of this website.
