Onward into October !!!
Good things really keep happening at North Bend Senior Center. We are adding an additional day of BINGO on the second Saturday of the month, and we will continue hosting BINGO every Friday evening and every second Saturday of the month indefinitely for the foreseeable future.
This month and for the foreseeable future we are also continuing our FREE LUNCH program on Monday through Thursday for Seniors who are age 60 and older. Our resident chef Philip is doing a great job and putting his heart into it to please everyone's palates and fill everyone's stomachs as best as he can. Don't be shy! Come out and enjoy the food, camaraderie, and friendly atmosphere.
Looking ahead a little further, on November 7 we will host our annual Holiday Craft Fair. It should be a good one. Holiday excitement is starting to ramp up. Reservations of sellers to secure a spot on the floor are going quickly. Sellers should reserve their spot soon. If tables are all taken when you call in, ask to have your name added to the waiting list because space might open up at the last minute if someone cancels their reservation.
Let's not forget to mention, on October 19 we will be hosting a special free luncheon prepared by the good chefs from Bayside Terrace Senior Living retirement community. They always come through with providing a tasty and satisfying luncheon banquet.
Also, the Walgreens community outreach group will be here on October 21 offering free flu shots for anyone interested in getting their shots updated.
Meanwhile, our regular weekly activities continue to run unabatedly, filling the rows and columns of our monthly activities calendar, and packing our activities room with enthusiastic participants. We are excited about the turnouts, but there is still plenty of room for more people to join in.
Our monthly calendar is packed with information. Take a moment to look it over and find the activities and events that interest you. You will see every activity and event listed and the exact time of day they begin and end. There is so much information in this calendar that you will definitely have to zoom in on your phones to read it. On a large computer screen, the view is easy and excellent.
